* Firstly, get into a business where you can be a big fish, not the little fish. Get into a business where you can be a change agent, where you can make a difference.  Don’t do what everybody is doing for the sake of doing it

* do not start that business if you are not passionate about it. Will passion guarantee your success? No. But it will help tremendously. So, if you’re choosing between businesses to start or products to launch, choose what you’re most passionate about. Because when things go wrong or you are going through a tough time in business, it’s this passion that will help you persevere.

* let your vision for your business drive you. This will affect what you see; it will affect your focus. When you analyse your business, don’t just take a casual look, See every crack, be very detailed, it’s all about what you see.

* It’s a competitive world we live in, don’t give up on your business due to competition, and don’t give in. When faced with competition, push yourself to do better, keep growing, evolve and rule your business

*Do the work, hard work pays! There are no shortcuts to success without action, so roll up your sleeves and get busy.

*Ask- ask for help, ask for information. Don’t be a proud know it all. Don’t ever stop learning about your business

*Ever heard the saying that ‘You’re the average of the five people you associate with the most? Surround yourself with great people, Great mentors and encouragers. Surrounding yourself with the best people enhances your chance to succeed.
